Chicken Wild Rice Casserole

Ingredients:
1 package wild rice
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1 small can mushroom, reserving liquid
1 1/2 cups half and half
3 cups cooked chopped chicken
1/4 c. diced pimento
2 T. chopped parsley
1 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
1/2 cup slivered almonds

Directions:

Prepare wild rice as directed. Cook onion till tender in butter. Remove from heat and add flour. Add enough chicken broth to mushroom liquid to make 1 1/2 cups liquid. Add to flour mixture. Stir in cream and cook till thick, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients, execpt almonds. Place in greased 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
