Crinkled Fudge Truffle Cookies
Ingredients:
3 4 oz. German's Sweet Chocolate bars
2 Tbsp. flavored shortening
1 tsp. instant coffee granules
3 eggs
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
6 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate and shortening together. Remove from heat and add coffee granules. Beat the eggs and sugar together until light and lemon colored for 3 – 4 minutes. Add the chocolate mixture and vanilla to egg mixture. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in chopped pecans. Place dough by teaspoons two inches apart on greased baking sheets. Top with a pecan half on each. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 8 -10 minutes or until just set in the middle. Do not over bake! Remove from cookie sheet and cool and dust in powdered sugar.
