Boiled Custard
Ingredients:
1 Quart whole milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Quart whole milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Heat milk just to boiling but do not boil. Combine sugar and flour and stir into milk. Beat the eggs and add a small amount of milk mixture to eggs, then stir eggs into the milk mixture. Continue to cook and stir until the mixture coats the spoon, around 8 – 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Strain and chill. Delicious with coconut cake or Christmas cookies.
