Granny Bread

1 cup bread flour
2 Tbsp. potato flakes
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 cup warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast

Mix and let set at least 1 hour.

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups hot water
6 cups bread flour


Add to starter: sugar, oil, salt, and hot water. Beat well in mixer. Beat in bread flour. Place in large greased bowl. Cover and let rise until double. about an hour. Knead until smooth. Divide into 3 equal parts and place in greased loaf pans. Let rise till double. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Servings: 3 loaves
