Chicken Buttercup

Servings:

Ingredients:
3/4 cup celery
3/4 cup onion
1/2 cup butter
3 T. flour
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
2 cups milk
1 beaten egg yolk
3 cups chopped cooked chicken
1 small jar pimento

Directions:

Saute celery and onion in butter. Add flour, salt and pepper, stirring till thick. Add milk and stir till thick. Add egg, continuing to stir, then add chicken and pimento. Serve on patty shells or corn bread squares.
