Supreme Crustless Pizza

Jim McCaslin

Servings: 12

Ingredients:
2 Tbs Olive Oil (garlic infused if you like)
2 tsp Italian Seasoning
12 oz Pizza Sauce
1 lb Italian or Andouille Sausage
1 lb Ground Beef or Ground Turkey
1 package Pepperoni
Sliced Onion, Bell Peppers or vegetables of your choice
1 small can Black Olives (optional)
1 small jar Mushrooms
16 oz Shredded Mozzarella or other Pizza Cheese
4 oz Cheddar or Cheese Blend
2 oz Grated Parmesan Cheese

Cooking spray

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425ºF. Brown sausage and set aside in a bowl. Brown ground beef/turkey leaving any oil from the sausage in the pan. Once browned, add Italian seasoning and stir to coat.  Remove to bowl with sausage and stir to combine. Spray a thin coat of cooking spray on a 9″ x 13″ baking pan or dish. Cover bottom with pizza sauce. Cook the pizza sauce to thicken — about 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the sauce with 1/2 of the pizza cheese. Cover cheese with combined sausage and ground beef/turkey. Cover meats with cheddar/cheese blend. Evenly distribute the vegetables over the cheese, making sure not to crowd the pan. Only use enough to get a thin layer of vegetables and try not to stack the vegetables or you will end up with a soggy dish. Add mushrooms on top of the vegetables and black olives on top of  the mushrooms. Add a light dusting of pizza cheese and place pepperoni, making sure that it is only one slice thick. Cover with remaining pizza cheese, then parmesan.

Bake 15-20 minutes or until the cheese on top is nicely browned.
